Antelope Island Stampede Festival

Last night we ventured out to Antelope Island, the largest island located within the Great Salt Lake for the Stampede Festival complete with hot air balloons, kite flying, food and vendors, bounce houses, a Neil Diamond Cover band and fireworks.    It was a little dirty and dusty but a beautiful location for a festival.

The kids had a great time dancing, snacking and bouncing/sliding down bouncy houses:

The kites and balloons were awesome to see.

It was amazing how much cover band,  The Diamond Experience really sounded like Neil Diamond.  They were awesome … and they played Sweet Caroline twice which makes them a winner in my book!  The kids loved being able to get close to the stage and dance.

Benny really wanted to get up on stage but settled for a spot at the bottom of the stairs.

It was a great little birthday celebration.  Thank you to my friends, Derek, Teresa and Rourke who brought cake, the most unique personalized “bouquet” for me, and other goodies to celebrate!

I mean, can you think of a better bouquet for a photographer than this?  So adorable!

When Teresa called me on my birthday she said, “Be thankful you’re not 35, because 35 is just OLD.”
Me:  “Umm, Teresa, I am 35.”
Teresa: “No?  No?  Really?   Oh no, that means I’m going to be 36?!?”

And so here is the cake she brought.   Love you, dear, at almost 36 and all. :)

Love,

Erin Schumaker - 35 & 36 old??? Come on ladies that’s hardly OLD. Heather you look great and I’m glad you had a great birthday. Menopause symptoms yet? Then you’re not OLD!
